Clint

Clint m
English: short form of the surname Clinton, made famous by the actor Clint Easrwood (b. 1930). It was apparently originally used as a given name in America in honour of the Clinton family, whose members included the statesman George Clinton (1739–1812), governor of New York, and his nephew De Witt Clinton (1769–1828), who was responsible for overseeing the construction of the Erie Canal. It was also borne by Sir Henry Clinton (1735–95), British commander-in-chief in America during the Revolution.
